Multimedia artist Hagar Vardimon-Van Heummen runs a creative studio in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, called Happy Red Fish, producing a series of work that combines thread on paper. The Lonely Houses series uses found photos of houses from vintage books and hand stitches lines and patterns onto them with embroidery thread. The results are a beautiful array of three-dimensional works that bring color and life to the old structures.
