Lulu and Georgia Opens Its First Los Angeles Showroom

After more than a decade online, Lulu and Georgia has opened its first brick-and-mortar showroom in Los Angeles, bringing its eclectic approach to home furnishings to Melrose Avenue in West Hollywood’s Design District. Designed in partnership with LA-based designer Kevin Klein, the space trades conventional retail displays for a series of inviting, residential-inspired rooms where visitors can experience the brand’s collections firsthand.

Throughout the showroom, traditional architectural details pair with contemporary furnishings, sculptural lighting, and unexpected patterns. A blue-and-burgundy striped sofa anchors one living area, while warm wood finishes, upholstered seating, and carefully arranged objects lend the interiors a collected, lived-in quality. Elsewhere, floral wallpaper, soft pink textiles, and richly textured fabrics create a cozy bedroom setting.

“The combination of traditional and contemporary materiality and details was inspired by what you might find in a recently renovated flat in Milan or Paris,” Klein explains. “You would find heritage-inspired architectural materiality and details converging with a more modern architectural vocabulary and construction sensibility.”

That residential sensibility extends beyond the furniture. Rather than relying on high-intensity track lighting and repetitive displays, Klein incorporated decorative fixtures from Lulu and Georgia’s collections and varied the materials and finishes throughout. Even the traditional checkout counter was eliminated in favor of more hospitality-oriented points of interaction.

The interplay of old and new begins at the entrance, where a custom floral-inspired mosaic tile floor sits beneath a contemporary steel-framed skylight. For Klein, the pairing captures the design’s underlying vision, with natural light washing across the intricate flooring to create a memorable first impression.

The showroom also brings together the brand’s bestsellers, recent launches, and designer collaborations, along with a dedicated library of fabric and material swatches. Visitors can explore finishes up close or book complimentary consultations with the in-house design team for guidance on everything from floor plans to color palettes.

A courtyard mural by longtime collaborator Sarah Sherman Samuel introduces another artistic layer, while planned events, designer-led discussions, and intimate gatherings aim to establish the showroom as a destination for the local design community.

For a brand that has spent years cultivating its aesthetic online, the new space offers something a screen cannot: the chance to experience how its furniture, materials, and objects come together in a room.
