As much as I love technology in all its shiny, metallic glory, I will forever be enamored with the natural aesthetic that wood brings. Luckily RAWBKNY decided to combine the two with their wooden keyboards made exclusively for the Macbook Pro and Macbook Air laptops.
Laser cut out of bamboo or rosewood, the individual keys pop out and onto each key on the board giving your laptop more of a clean and natural finish.
Check out their recently launched Kickstarter campaign so that you can get your very own.

Really great concept! Wonder about stains and termites though.

Such a great idea! I would love that on my laptop, just I don’t have a Mac. I use an Acer laptop. I will need to remember about this if in the future I change from Windows to iOS.

This would really look great on my Mac. My friends would definitely love it, too… :)

I need this in my life!

Hey that look REALLY familiar , did you by any chance found inspiration through the Lazerwood brand >?? Nice product :/

Ben, excellent point however our inspiration came from Robbie Tilton keyboard. I would give him the full credit for this amazing approach to bring back a natural element to keyboards. Our goal was to find a more simple approach that did not require voiding your warranty.

I would love this. The ONLY flaw with it is that it doesn’t have holes cut where the keys light up, a feature that is a dealbreaker for me

I work with a lot of sustainable / eco businesses -these would be a great conversation piece when pulling the laptop out. Hmmm. Agree with Ryan.. the light up keys are feature that I could no longer live without.

We are definitely working on it Chris & Ryan, just launched our kickstarter campaign to try and get new machinery that can possibly allow us to bring back the light function. You can check it out here http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/rawbkny/wooden-keys-for-macbook-and-desktop

This is a cool concept. I ordered stuff from them worth 400 USD to see all of what they have. They haven’t delivery anything! So be VERY careful whether you spend your money on them as I lost my money betting on them.

I ordered my product awhile ago. I use to get updates from Michael Victorovich…. Now NOTHING. Beware!!! I have read many sites after my incident where they are flaky to send product after a LONG TIME. I hope my reviews speed up shipment. going on 2 months now.

Hey Monty,
yes responsiveness is not their strong suit I guess. I have ordered a few versions back then to try out which one I liked best and which one I might sell ;).
If they don’t respond, let me know I can send it to you my mail if you haven’t paid them :)
Monty on 07.30.2014 at 18:57 PM
Yeah, I have already paid them. Did you ever get your stuff sir? And if so, how long did it take?
Michael on 07.20.2015 at 11:57 AM
Hello
