NYFU: An Innovative, Space-Saving Furniture Collection

If you recall, we recently featured NYFU (New York FUnctional FUrniture) and their creative approach to space-saving, transformable furniture for small space dwellers.

Their ongoing NYC Neighborhood Challenge could land you a $20K home makeover—more details here… But even if you don’t win the makeover, you can still get yourself some of their clever designs. Here is just a sampling of the first few designs, which will launch after the Neighborhood Challenge:

1. The TriBeCa is a set of three tables that nest together to save space when not needed.

2. The NY+U Storage Desk has a sliding top with hidden storage in addition to a side bookshelf. Plus, it features a small shelf underneath the tabletop that also doubles as a footrest.

3. The SqueezeBox Ottoman looks like any other ottoman until you begin to look more closely. The simple cube is actually made up of three stacked, attached cushions that unfold to become a twin-sized cushion/bed.

4. The Transformer is like the Optimus Prime of armchairs. When folded, its oversized design can seat two people, plus it has two side pockets to store magazines or the remote. Once unfolded, it becomes a double bed.

5. The three-seater SeatPacking Sofa becomes a double bed faster than I’ve ever seen a sofabed unfold.

These designs and more will be available on NYFU.com, but first make sure you enter the NYC Neighborhood Challenge… maybe you’ll win an entire room full!
