OOOOX handled the renovation of an attic apartment located in Prague, Czech Republic that was no easy task. The old building uncovered many hidden issues as the reconstruction went on and also, it’s not always easy to get a modern look in an old, period building. The result is a clean, contemporary space named the Grey Loft.
The apartment features a loft space that’s reached from the bedroom via a bent metal staircase.
Throughout the apartment you’ll see how the project got its name as grey is the primary color used in each room. The grey walls in the bedroom make for a soothing retreat.
Above the bedroom is a sitting room with a sharp pitched roofline.
Skylights and windows keep the attic space super bright and airy.
The bathrooms are dark and moody, which I love.
The dark walls continue into the kitchen on one wall opposite the bank of floor-to-ceiling windows. The light wood floors and white ceiling keep the space open and bright.
Stainless steel is used for the island and for the appliances helping to reflect light in the space. They also went with open shelving to make the kitchen appear more open.
On the opposite side of the space is the living room that’s nestled under a sloped roof.
