Earlier this year, we introduced you to the Southwestern-inspired wares of Gitli Goods. Their first collection of handmade collars, while gorgeous, was designed for larger dogs, sadly leaving out small to medium-sized pups. But, I’m happy to say that is no longer the case! Gitli Goods’ leather collars are now available in smaller sizes and we were more than excited to test run two new styles: The Little West Collar and The Plains Collar. Read on for our full review and a special discount code!
[Disclosure: We were sent two collars from Gitli Goods for review. All view and opinions are our own.]
Aside from the wonderful smell of leather (which I LOVE), one of the first things I noticed when I pulled these collars out of their unbleached cotton pouches (how adorable) was the incredible craftsmanship. I’ve seen a lot of leather collars in my day and believe me when I tell you that these babies are going to last.
After inspecting each collar, it’s clear that every bit of attention was given to even the smallest detail: from the matte nickel hardware to the patterned nylon inlay to the perfectly-placed embossed patterns. Gitli Goods isn’t messing around when it comes to quality, folks! (And, as a stickler for details, I mean it!)
Also, these collars are just plain gorgeous! The distressed leather, Concho rivets, and Southwestern pattern definitely make The Little West Collar standout, while The Plains Collar, with its hand-embossed pattern and natural tan leather, will patina and age beautifully. These collars are also available in other colors, which you should definitely check out in the Gitli Goods shop!
Overall, Gitli Goods’ leather collars get an enthusiastic thumbs up from me (that’s paws up from our special model Casper)! If you’re looking for something a bit more rugged and unique than your average collar, Gitli Goods has got you (and now smaller dogs) covered! Shop the entire collection right here.
