Multidisciplinary artist Sarah Wertzberger works in paint and clay, as well as textiles which are what’s caught our eye today. Using hand, industrial, and digital weaving, she designs and creates the most beautiful original blanket designs that would look just as at home hanging upon your wall as being used on your couch.
Color play, interactions, and natural tensions that exist in the worlds of art, design, craft, technology, and DIY are all explored through Wertzberger’s ongoing experimentation with materials and processes. She relies on her intuition as well as the limits of different materials to guide the eventual outcome of the designs, the result of which is a playful collection that’s modern with an emphasis on the traditional practice of making.
