Studio O+A were tasked with designing a new space for Sapphire Ventures in Palo Alto that was full of juxtapositions. The company wanted offices that were “elegant, but industrial; intense, but warm; edgy, but comfortable (Not too comfortable)” to create a successful work environment that was balanced yet inspiring.
The kitchen/lounge space was designed to mimic the feel of a cozy, modern apartment.
Private spaces were carved out for smaller meetings or employees needing some quiet time.
Warm woods, shades of grey, and sculptural light fixtures create a comfortably modern atmosphere.
Blue was used as an accent color throughout, as were textures for a more homey feel.
