The Obliteration Room by Yayoi Kusama

I know we’re a little late to the game on this one but we just had to post it.

From Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama comes The Obliteration Room, part of an exhibit at the Queensland Art Gallery | Gallery of Modern Art in Brisbane, Australia. It’s one of the coolest (and most colorful!) interactive installations I’ve ever seen.

She built a large white room-like environment, complete with furniture, plants, lighting, and artwork that set the stage for what was to come. During the span of two weeks, kids went to town with thousands of multicolored dot stickers and turned the formerly white space into a bright collaboration.
