Third Nature is a new collection of furniture, sculptures, and objets d’art created by Milan-based designer Hagit Pincovici for world-renowned interior designer Kelly Wearstler. Born from Pincovici’s innate desire to reconnect with nature during the pandemic, the collection features foraged specimens, ranging from date palms to desert plants, that were then cast into bronze at Hagit’s studio in Milan.
Further validating their collaboration was the geographical similarities of their hometowns – Pincovici originating from Tel Aviv while Wearstler is based in Los Angeles. Reflecting on their mutual affinity for nature, the pair explored how best to bring the cast bronze sculptures to bear as a series of sculptural everyday objects for the home. The collection consists of a bench, console, chair, mirror, and sculpture.
In describing her collaboration with Pincovici, Wearstler explains, “I’m drawn to how Hagit’s work is jubilant and youthful, while also being very sophisticated and understated. We also both draw upon our surroundings and nature as major sources of inspiration, so it always feels effortless to collaborate. She is a designer with an artist’s spirit and so it felt right to conceptualize a space in my online gallery that lends itself to such artful yet functional pieces.”
