TID Watches Collaborates with Clara von Zweigbergk on a Collection of Knitted Wristwatches

In the spring of 2017, Stockholm-based TID Watches created a new collaborative platform called TID Canvas where it invites designers to reinterpret the brand’s iconic TID No.1 Watch. Previously, the company collaborated with Form Us With Love on the TID No.3 edition which featured silicone wristbands. For the latest TID Canvas 002 edition, they tapped designer Clara von Zweigbergk (who’s worked with brands like Hay, Louis Poulsen, Areaware, and more) to create a limited-edition production run of knitted wristwatches.

von Zweigbergk is known for her colorful aesthetics and playful forms in design. For this collaboration, she wanted to combine the intricacies of crochet knitting techniques with the minimalistic design of the watch. Working with TextieLab in the Netherlands, she created five knitted wristbands made from fly fishing nylon threads in five colorways, each with a different stitching technique. The wristwatches come with an all-white watch face with a vibrant orange second hand to complement the colorful watches.

There’s only 300 exclusive enumerated watches. Each order comes with a black nylon wristband to give you the option to switch between the colorful knitted wristband or a classic nylon wristband. To order, visit www.tidwatches.com.
