Tom Dixon Launches SWIRL Geometric Home Accessories

Just last month at Maison & Objet, Tom Dixon launched a collection of geometric home accessories that include candleholders, bookends, and vases. The SWIRL collection is made with a new material that gives the objects a three-dimensional marbled paper appearance while being heavy, like stone.

The material is made from recycled powdered residue from marble manufacturing, along with resin and pigment to give it the swirl pattern. That combination results in blocks that can be cut, sliced, and/or turned on a lathe to create functional sculptures. Each piece has its own personality with a unique silhouette and color pattern all its own.
