UM Project Creates Robot Lamps That Dance Around A Maypole

Sixteen part-lamp/part-robot designs are new variations of UM Project’s fantastic Craft System series are arranged in a delightful lighted “dance” around a central pole. Their colorful cords are reminiscent of ribbons that would be around a traditional maypole.

Directly inspired by age-old folk traditions, Maypole is executed with futuristic materials, advanced LED technology and media engineering programming, bringing together future and past in a playful way.
