Sebastian Errazuriz is not one to go boring when it comes to design (remember Blow Me, 12 Shoes for 12 Lovers Part 1 and Part 2, and the Magistral Cabinet, to name a few) and his latest, The Samurai Cabinet, is just as innovative as his previous works. The cabinet looks as if it will protect your most prized possessions behind its armored facade. Using almost 400 movable keels that move independently of each other, the cabinet forms a flexible skin that lets you reach your goods from any angle.
Each spear-shaped element can rotate and shift to change the look and structure of the cabinet. The counterbalanced spears flip open with just a simple finger sliding down its side. No matter what position you choose to leave the spears in, the cabinet continues to look sculpturally elegant.
