Spore is going to offer one of our readers a True doorbell, which is the latest addition to the Spore family. Departing from its more colorful predecessors, True makes a more subtle impression with a halo of illumination emanating from an anodized aluminum shell. Available in three metal finishes (aluminum, bronze and matte black) and three illumination colors (white, amber or blue, as well as a non-illuminated version), and the winner gets his/her choice of finish and illumination.

When industrial designer Ted Pierson considered objects that could use an overhaul, he realized the doorbell button was due for some attention. Long neglected as a mere afterthought, Pierson saw the button as an essential part of the home entry. After receiving accolades for prototypes from top design magazines, including I.D., Spore was created in 1996. The ultra-modern buttons have made Spore popular with architects and homeowners alike. Spore is a family-run company based in Seattle, Washington. All Spore products are designed from the circuit board to the faceplate.
