Feeding the Creativity of Artists

For several years we have found tremendous inspiration strolling the aisles of the Maison & Objet design show in Paris, never knowing exactly what might strike our fancy. Usually, the products we are attracted to, have nothing to do with food, but somehow we find a way to tie it in… by turning it upside down, by taking it apart… when the creative juices start flowing that’s when we’re at our best.

This year we were thrilled to see a whole exhibit dedicated to food design. The exhibit Nourriture Premiere by Elizabeth Leriche put food at the center of creation by reinterpreting the power of the first original foods. By looking to the past, Elizabeth inspired artists to rethink the future and the present of food and design.

Essential foods such as bread, meat, milk, vegetables, and honey, were highlighted in different settings and sometimes accompanied by tastings designed by fellow food designer Marc Bretillot.
