Askew: A Ruled Notebook Like No Other from Debbie Millman

The multi-hyphenate Debbie Millman partnered with Baron Fig on a ruled notebook unlike any you’ve seen before, as part of their Limited Edition Confidant series. Askew is a quirky ruled notebook where every single line is hand drawn and while some behave, many do not. When working on her first book, Look Both Ways, Millman wanted to create a notebook like this and even produced an essay in the book that was done entirely on hand drawn ruled paper.

The notebook aims to instill a sense of freedom while using it. With its unruly lines, maybe you can relax a little and become more inspired. They even made it so it opens flat letting you utilize each page to its full potential. Plus, for every one of their Confidant notebooks you buy, they plant a tree, as part of their commitment to being more eco-conscious.
