Architect Zaha Hadid is a woman of many talents, crossing genres and bringing her signature methodology to all, including furniture. Hadid draws on her curvy, and often uniquely shaped, organic style for her latest work, the Tela shelving unit for CITCO.
Despite being made from solid black granite, the piece appears light due to the long, cantilevered shelves. The structural core in the center is made up of interwoven layers that look as if they could be pressed flat and stretched back out like an accordion.
