When it comes to productivity, more screen space can make a significant difference – especially when multitasking or managing multiple applications. But when you’re on the move, you’re often limited to your laptop’s modest display. Portable monitors have helped bridge that gap, and now UPERFECT is pushing the concept further with the UPERFECT Omega, a foldable OLED monitor that offers desktop-level screen real estate without overburdening your backpack. Simply unfold it, and you’ve got a large, immersive display rivaling the one on your desk at home.

Foldable screens have become increasingly mainstream over the past few years, and the UPERFECT Omega is a great example of why. Thanks to flexible OLED technology, the screen unfolds completely flat and – according to UPERFECT – avoids the unsightly creases often associated with foldable displays.

It’s not just about portability or flexibility either – the UPERFECT Omega is built for performance. Featuring an OLED panel, it delivers perfect black levels and rich contrast. The screen boasts a sharp 3K resolution, ensuring crisp image quality, and a 120Hz refresh rate, which makes animations, video playback, and scrolling appear super smooth. The monitor also supports touch input and includes a magnetic stand that attaches to the back – eliminating the hassle of mounting hardware or relying on flimsy kickstands.

The UPERFECT Omega is available in two sizes: 17.3 inches and 22 inches. When folded, the smaller model measures just 12.5 inches in length, while the larger comes in at 16 inches – roughly the size of a standard laptop, making it ideal for travel and storage in most backpacks.

Despite its large unfolded size, the Omega remains impressively slim and lightweight. At only 7mm thick when open, it’s thinner than many smartphones, with just enough depth to accommodate essential connectivity. It includes two USB-C ports and a Mini HDMI port. While a full-size HDMI port is absent, UPERFECT includes a Mini HDMI to HDMI cable in the box, so you can plug in and get started right away without needing to purchase additional accessories.

Naturally, a device this cutting-edge comes at a premium. The Omega Mini (17.3-inch version) is priced at $1,999.99, while the 22-inch model costs $2,499.99. That’s likely more than many laptops on the market – but for users seeking an advanced, ultra-portable display solution, it could be worth the investment.

Unfortunately, the UPERFECT Omega isn’t available for purchase just yet. Still in development, UPERFECT is available for pre-order here, and anticipates launching the monitor in 2026. So, for now, if you’re searching for expanded screen space beyond what today’s portable monitors can offer, you might have to turn to other futuristic options – like augmented reality glasses – while you wait.
