WestEdge Design Fair 2015 Favorites

We headed back to sunny (and hot!) Santa Monica, CA for the third annual WestEdge Design Fair from October 22-25, 2015. This year, Design Milk sponsored the new MADE:MODERN section, which featured smaller brands and designers from all over. It was great to see so many younger designers making connections with the local LA design community.

While we loved all the MADE:MODERN exhibitors, we also had a great time checking out all of the booths at the show. Here are some of our favorites!

I always love seeing Finell’s products, and love touching them even more. So smooth…

The West Hollywood Design District’s booth was interesting for sure – it really captures Hollywood glamor. It was designed and curated by Gulla Jonsdottir.

Loved this lamp from ShopFloor Design.

I love this pour-over coffee maker by Cimarron.

Loving New Wall’s super cool 3D wallpaper. Also, they had VELCRO wallpaper!!!!!!

Mike Danielson creates simple, minimal pieces using deteriorated metal salvaged from an old pier, giving it a unique surface texture.

Pamela and Paul Sunday’s booth was outstanding, understated and absolutely stunning. What a talented team!

I couldn’t stop looking at these sconces by Matthew Fairbank Design.

It was great to see Kjartan Oskarsson from Iceland, who won the 2015 Wanted Design Launch Pad competition.

I think WhyrHymer’s booth was my favorite. As soon as you walked into the space, you immediately felt like you were in someone’s dining room. Every piece was gorgeous.

BlankBlank’s new black and white light sculpture was a showstopper.

Loved everything J. Liston had in their space. Read our interview with John Liston here.

Volvo XC90 plug-in hybrid

Volvo XC90 plug-in hybrid

Volvo was a sponsor this year and was showing their brand new droolworthy XC90. The interior of this car is so sleek, like nothing else on the market. I highly recommend taking one for a test drive!

The Volvo lounge was designed by Disc Interiors and presented by Architectural Digest and Carl Hansen & Son. I wanted to move in.

And last, but not least, our booth, featuring furniture by Alexander Purcell Rodrigues with artwork by Jaime Derringer.

Can’t wait to go back next year!
