Pure White: A Cliff Side House Interior by Susanna Cots

Barcelona-based designer Susanna Cots designed the interior of this cliff side house in Almuñecar, Granada that she calls Pure White. The main color of the house is obviously white, for it’s the sum of all colors of light. With its location right by the ocean, the house is bombarded by natural light making white seem like the perfect starting point for the design.

Glass that’s used throughout the home really opens it up and makes the interiors feel bright, also causing the white furnishings to be especially bright, too.

The living room, dining room, and kitchen areas are designed with the exterior space they’re next to in mind. The rooms open up and make the ocean feel a part of the interior.

Subtle bits of color are used sparingly throughout, but mostly Cots stuck to a white and black interior.

Even though the palette is white it doesn’t feel stark or cold. The various textures that were layered in, along with the wood flooring and walkway, help warm the space up.

A black rug and wall, as well as accents, were added to the white master suite.
