.Org Deskscape System is a minimalist design created by Seattle-based company Ladies & Gentlemen Studio. The studio is dedicated to creating a diverse set of products, from small objects to home decor goods, jewelry, furniture, and lighting. Their playful exploration with materiality has led them to discover unexpected partnerships between material and function.
The duo’s design sensibilities are apparent even in their newest project, .Org Deskscape System, which is a bi-costal collaboration between L&G and Pat Kim’s Brooklyn-based studio. The desk accessories are constructed of solid wood, cork, and metal. The modularity of the pieces were designed to be placed together to form a tidy desk landscape configured to the users’ needs.
Each module is crafted in small batches within the USA and comes finished with natural Danish oil, which can be refreshed with additional oil if needed. The modules available include a pen rest, an accessories storage tray, a cork note board, and a business card/iPad holder. The bottom of the central wooden piece reveals laser-etched logos of the two collaborating designers.
