UP by Jawbone: New & Improved
Last year we featured UP by Jawbone but after a short and rocky time on the market, they recalled the design. They're back with a new version of UP, a wristband that collects data based on your movements, sleep patterns, calories burned, food intake, etc. Paired with the corresponding app and you get personal insight into your daily habits and how to improve on them.
NDS + KnollTextiles Collection
Who said textile fabrics can't be used in other places besides on a sofa or to cover your windows? Not Nektar De Stagni. The designer behind the NDS jewelry and accessory line collaborated with KnollTextiles to create the Florence Knoll-inspired NDS + KnollTextiles Capsule Collection that is so good, it's hard to pick a favorite.
Tiffany & Co. Diamond Pavilion by 2x4
Tiffany & Co. reached the milestone anniversary of 175 years and chose to celebrate by having an exhibition of their archival jewelry travel around China. The New York City-based 2x4 were brought in to design the structure and technological pieces that made up the exhibit.
3D Printed Jewelry by Hot Pop Factory
3D printing has taken design where we never thought it would go in recent years and it has boldly set up shop in the jewelry world. For companies like Toronto-based Hot Pop Factory, it makes the ability to produce affordable and unique jewelry a possibility, all from the comforts of their own home. Architecture school graduates Bi-Ying Miao and Matthew Compeau began their collaboration and Hot Pop Factory was born with its first collection, Stratigraphia.
