Moon

Normann Copenhagen has just launched Moon, a serving dish filled with holes, designed by Matthias Demacker:

Experimenting with different hole-structures I created a bowl with a loose pattern without any regularity. The surface of the dish does not only play with its formal aspect of the perforation, but it also plays with its function, since the holes only allow to place objects in the dish that exceed the diameter of the openings.

TUKAANI

I have seen these TUKAANI eating devices by Lincoln Kayiwa on a number of sites, but they are definitely worth posting because, well, we’re a blog about good design and these certainly represent that. TUKAANI is Finnish for the toucan bird species, and the design was inspired by a Toucan’s bill.
