MINI Goes To Santa Claus (And So Did I!)
MINI's latest campaign "NOT NORMAL" launched in October 2012 (or as they call it, Motor-Tober) and their latest mission was so far away from normal that it landed them (and me!) in the Arctic Circle with one goal - to set a Guinness World Records by bringing the most number of wishes to none other than Santa Claus himself in a project called MINI Goes To Santa Claus.

The Aeroball design was interesting based on the description but hearing Polish designer Jan Ankiersztajn talk about it, made the product that much more fascinating. Not only did he win €5000, he also gets a much-coveted, six-month paid internship with Electrolux that will no doubt provide him with invaluable knowledge for the future.

Graduates use the program to develop their professional practice before fully going it alone - and get the opportunity to exhibit at places like designjunction.

Chloe Meineck spent two years conducting research into the positive effect familiar music can have for those with dementia - listening to music from certain periods of their lives can help trigger even their most inaccessible memories. She was driven to act on her findings and so created this gorgeous music box.

London Design Festival 2012: 100% Design Interiors
All eyes were on 100% Design at this year's London Design Festival. Under new ownership and with a new director, the hype had begun months previously and continued right up to the moment we entered the rather spectacular entrance, designed by London agency Shaw + Skirm. In its 18th year, this predominantly trade show seems to have found its feet again. Here are our top picks from the Interiors Section.
