SILO 468: Interactive Light Art for Urban Redevelopment

To mark such occasion, the silo's walls were perforated with 2,012 holes that display a mesmerizing light show in Helsinki's Kruunuvuorenranta district.

Beloved designer and ceramicist Eva Zeisel passed away in 2011 at the age of 105, and the last project she worked on was her one and only lighting collection and it has just hit the market. The Eva Zeisel Collection for Leucos is a line of hand-blown Venetian glass fixtures that come in two styles named Summer and Spring, each available as a pendant, wall sconce, or table lamp.

MINI Goes To Santa Claus (And So Did I!)
MINI's latest campaign "NOT NORMAL" launched in October 2012 (or as they call it, Motor-Tober) and their latest mission was so far away from normal that it landed them (and me!) in the Arctic Circle with one goal - to set a Guinness World Records by bringing the most number of wishes to none other than Santa Claus himself in a project called MINI Goes To Santa Claus.
Doll Table Lamp by Foscarini
Doll is the new table lamp by French designer Ionna Vautrin for Foscarini where the shape looks like a cross between old oil lamps and those wooden Japanese kokeshi dolls that have skinny bodies and big faces. The bulging shades are made from glass while the narrow bases come in four colors - red, gray, green, and ivory.
Casa Agudela by Rui Cerqueira Barros
Located close to the sea in Lavra, Matosinhos, Portugal, the Agudela House is full of sunlight despite being a large black structure. Designed by Rui Cerqueira Barros, the smooth, dark volume is broken up with windows and openings that help fill the home with light and ocean breezes.
Flatmate Desk by Michael Hilgers for Müller Möbelwerkstätten
Sometimes a living space just isn't big enough to fit a desk in it but, boy, it sure is handy to have a workstation sometimes. The Flatmate aims to give you just such a spot without taking up the valuable floor space that most desks do. Designed by Michael Hilgers for Müller Möbelwerkstätten, the slim design barely sticks out from its spot against the wall but gives you plenty of room to attend to all of your desk duties when opened up.
T House in Milan by Takane Ezoe and Modourbano
Modourbano recently partnered with Japanese artist Takane Ezoe to complete this live/work loft in the center of Milan called T House. Situated near Sant'Ambrogio Basilica, the space is prime location and had great bones to make an artist feel right at home.
Latest Carpet Designs from We Make Carpets
Have you seen the unusual temporary carpets we've featured before that the team of We Make Carpets create? They are modern day versions of traditional woven carpets of centuries past made out of everyday items like pasta, cotton balls, plastic forks, candy bars, and now sponges and old plastic bottles. The three-dimensional patterns look labor-intensive, much like the carpets they are meant to reflect.
